Fees

The daily fee for long day care is $145.

Families may be eligible for government fee assistance including Child Care Subsidy and Free Kinder. Visit the paying fees page for more information.

Your new centre’s name

In consultation with local Traditional Owners, Early Learning Victoria Nyernilang Lar has been chosen as the name of the new early learning and childcare centre at Eaglehawk North Primary School. Nyernilang Lar is a Dja Dja Wurrung word meaning learning place or centre.

During the planning, design, and construction phases, the centre was known by its interim name, Eaglehawk North Primary School Early Learning and Childcare Centre.

About the centre

We’re opening a new early learning and childcare centre at Eaglehawk North Primary School in early 2025.

The Victorian Government-owned centre will provide long day care and Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs, with space for up to 102 local children each day.

The centre will have outdoor play areas as well as a community room for child and family services such as maternal and child health, and room for community meetings and playgroup.

Programs

  • Long day care at Eaglehawk North: we provide 102 places for children aged between birth and 6 years.
  • Funded kindergarten: we provide integrated kindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds within the long day care setting.
  • There will be at least one qualified kindergarten teacher in each kindergarten room providing a high-quality kindergarten program for 3- and 4-year-olds.
