Fees

The daily fee for long day care is $148.

Families may be eligible for government fee assistance including Child Care Subsidy and Free Kinder. Visit the Paying fees page for more information.

Your new centre’s name

In consultation with local Traditional Owners, Early Learning Victoria Wimbi (pronounced wim-bee) has been chosen as the name of the new early learning and childcare centre at Moomba Park Primary School. Wimbi is a Woi-wurrung word meaning wallaby.

During the planning, design, and construction phases, the centre was known by its interim name, Moomba Park Early Learning and Childcare Centre.

About the centre

We’re opening a new early learning and childcare centre at Moomba Park Primary School in early 2025.

The Victorian Government-owned centre will offer long day care and Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs, with space for up to 130 local children each day.

The centre will have outdoor play areas, a maternal and child health room, and a room for community meetings and playgroups.

Programs

  • Long day care at Moomba Park: we will provide 130 places for children aged between birth and 6 years.
  • Funded kindergarten: we will provide integrated kindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds within the long day care setting.
  • There will be at least one qualified kindergarten teacher in each room providing a high-quality kindergarten program for 3- and 4-year-olds.
